Start with the movement you need
A jack plate and a power trim / tilt assembly address different parts of outboard positioning. Start by identifying whether your application concerns the motor's vertical position behind the transom or its angle.
A product name or horsepower range alone is not enough to confirm a fit. The engine, mounting arrangement and available installation space all need to be checked against the selected model.
Jack plates: vertical positioning
A hydraulic jack plate adjusts the outboard motor's vertical position behind the transom. When comparing models, review setback, lift travel and the mounting dimensions on the individual product page.
Setback and lift travel describe different dimensions. Record the required installation space and compare it with the model's drawing; do not treat one dimension as a substitute for the other.
Power trim / tilt: angle adjustment
A trim / tilt assembly changes the outboard's angle. The Lanshine Marine range includes manual and electric-hydraulic assemblies, so check the operating type as well as the application references.
For a replacement enquiry, include the exact engine model and year, the existing assembly reference and its mounting dimensions. For an electrically operated model, also confirm the vessel's system voltage.
